As construction begins to remove a portion of the Niagara Scenic Parkway in Niagara Falls, Whirlpool Street between Cleveland and Chestnut streets will be closed until further notice.

All NEXUS users who want to use the Whirlpool Bridge Plaza need to use Depot Street West.

Other detours will be posted with only local traffic allowed.

The work depends on the weather, so there's no end date set at this point.
