The groundhog has spoken and says, Spring-like weather will come early.
Dunkirk Dave, the world's second longest predicting groundhog, made an appearance Saturday morning, drawing in crowds from all over.
David Clark drove all the way from West Virginia to meet Dave for the first time.
"Oh Dave is just right on top of the list, he came out in rare form and he was able to give his prediction quickly," Clark said.
Some families have even made it an annual tradition to pay the groundhog a visit each February 2.
"My daughter sort of became obsessed with groundhogs when she was about three, and we made an event out of it. So we dress up, come here, we get breakfast after it's become a family tradition and then my son was born, Anthony and he joined in," said James Zappie, who's excited to think ahead to warmer days.
But how accurate really is Dunkirk Dave?
His handler Bob Will says, you can usually count on him.
"Most of the time our accuracy rating gets to be 93 percent as we used to say, so it's pretty good," said Will.
And his fans seem to trust him as well.
"Yes, he's actually been pretty accurate the last seven years," said Zappie.
"Oh of course, 100 percent accurate all the time," said Clark.
