Your homes are about to be full of plenty of empty gift boxes and ripped-up gift wrap — so when can you get those in the recycling bin and out to the curb?
Well, the City of Buffalo is delaying garbage and recycling pickup one day this week, starting Tuesday.
So if your normal garbage day is Tuesday it will be Wednesday and so on.
And looking into the New Year, on January 5 you can get rid of your Christmas tree, old lights and old electronics replaced by those sparkly new gifts.
There's an "After the Holidays" recycling event at the city's engineering garage at 1120 Seneca Street.
It goes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
