It all started as an act of kindness that has now spawned into an organization that helps hundreds of seriously ill children.

On a monthly basis, the McCrady family meets other parents and special needs children at free social events.

The events are organized by the Brave Little Fighters Foundation, the brainchild of Elizabeth Agnello.

"So the children who ranged from age 2 to 18 and face illnesses from Duchenne muscular dystrophy to cystic fibrosis to brain cancer and leukemia," said Agnello. "Some also suffer from severe asthma, juvenile diabetes and other serious illnesses."

Agnello says her goal in forming the foundation was to help families and their sick children get a much-needed break.

Thanks to donors, families have been able to enjoy Sabres and Bills games free of charge.

"Many of our children spend many days in the hospital each month and this is why these events truly represent a break along the journey that greatly reduces the stress the families face," added Agnello.

Families who have specials needs and seriously ill children are welcomed to the events that are posted on the foundation's Facebook page

Donations are also being accepted through their GoFundMe page.
