A Billboard award music winner is helping raise money for Buffalo's Ronald McDonald House.

Violinist Lindsey Stirling toured the house on West Ferry Street Saturday. That's before she performed at the Ronald McDonald House 12th annual Holiday Concert.

It's one of the charity's biggest fundraisers. the nonprofit provides a place for families to stay while their children are treated at Oishei Children's Hospital.

"Raising awareness is all about getting the community in touch with who we are and how we're supported and how it's important for 100% of the community to support this mission of helping families," said Ronald McDonald House Charities of WNY Executive Director Sally Vincent.

The Ronald McDonald House has helped 18,000 families since it opened in 1983.
