The driver believed responsible for a hit-and-run crash in Clarence where a pedestrian was badly injured has turned themselves in, according to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.

A 51-year-old woman was walking her dog on December 4 when the truck hit her, causing a fractured skull and brain injury.

Surveillance footage from a private residence showed a box truck believed responsible traveling on Harris Hill Road.

The Sheriff's Office said the name of the driver will remain withheld until charges are filed.
