NATIONWIDE -- Mickey Mouse is getting a two-hour special on ABC this fall.

"Mickey's 90th Spectacular" will air at 8 p.m. on Nov. 4 from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Legendary television producer Don Mischer will produce and direct the special.

It will include "star-studded musical performances," tributes and short films that have never been seen before.

"I'm delighted to be working on this magical event," Mischer said. "Walt Disney was a major influence in my early life and actually inspired me to pursue my life's work in television."

Additional details about the special, including the guest performers, will be announced at a later date.

The primetime special is in celebration of Mickey's 90th anniversary.

The iconic mouse made his big-screen debut on Nov. 18, 1928 in "Steamboat Willie."​
