A renewable energy start-up is the latest signs of revitalization on Buffalo’s East Side.

VIRIDI Parente is a fuel and engine company that will specialize in the manufacturing of renewable energy-based engines and power trains for heavy machinery and storage.

The goal is to have the products around the globe, eventually bringing more jobs to the city.

“This is a precedent-setting technology that is going to be created and marketed worldwide, right on East Delevan in the heart of the city of Buffalo, right on the East Side,” said State Senator Tim Kennedy (D). “This is something that we can all be proud of, as Buffalonians, Western New Yorkers and New Yorkers.”

The company received a $1.4 million loan from the Buffalo and Erie County Regional Development Corporation.
