January 8, 2000 is a hard day for Bills fans to forget. It was the Music City Miracle, and the last time the Bills saw the postseason.

Children born in this millennium have never seen what they will witness Sunday, as the Bills take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in the wild card round of the playoffs.

So what's changed since that 1999 season?

Bill Clinton was president.

Gas on average was below $1.30.

The top song to close out the year was Smooth by Santana with Rob Thomas. Ricky Martin's Livin La Vida Loca and Lou Bega's Mambo Number 5 were also top hits. Christina Aguilera, Brittney Spears, Backstreet Boys were topping the charts at the time.

In literature, the Harry Potter craze hit the U.S.

The movies to see were the Sixth Sense, Star Wars Episode I, The Matrix and The Mummy. Shakespeare in Love won the Oscar's Best Picture.

The most popular TV show was Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? followed by ER, Friends and Frasier. The Sopranos and Family Guy also both made their debuts.

Pokémon and Furbies first appeared and were the must-have gifts.

It was also the first year Lance Armstrong won the Tour de France.

Obviously a lot has changed since the Bills posted an 11-5 record that 1999-2000 season. Sixteen quarterbacks, nine coaches and seven general managers later, Sunday's win over Miami marked just the third winning season for the Bills since then. But a well-deserved one to end the longest active NFL playoff drought.
