Binghamton University continues to grow, and President Harvey Stenger is excited about the changes made during his six years on campus.
He talked about the past, present and future during his annual State of the University address Thursday. Stenger stressed the expanding student body and educational programs. Approximately 70 students are now enrolled in their first year at the pharmacy school.
"The successful launch of the pharmacy school and the pharmacy program is probably the biggest accomplishment we had last year," Stenger said. "Starting a school of pharmacy and the accreditation program is not simple. And to make it through there with great leadership was a huge success."
Stenger expects the nursing school to expand its offerings. He says the school is looking to add physical, occupational and speech therapy masters programs.
