Some streets in Central Queens are about to get much cleaner.

City Councilman Rory Lancman announced there will be $200,000 allocated for additional street cleaning services in his district Thursday.

There will be extra sanitation pick-up along parts of Main Street in Kew Gardens Hills, Hillside Avenue in Jamaica Hills and Queens Boulevard in Briarwood.

There will also be cleaning services on parts of those strips and along Union Turnpike in Fresh Meadows and Jamaica Estates.

"If we want people to shop in our community, if we want to make sure people stay in New York City, we got to make sure streets are clean," said Lancman. "And if you walk out of your house or you shop on Main Street or other commercial areas and you see dirt everywhere, you see litter, you see overflowing trash baskets, you think to yourself 'The City's not working,'" he continued.

Lancman also allocated money for similar services last year.
