ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The cold temperatures didn't keep some people from heading to downtown Rochester for the annual Saint Patrick's Day parade, but it was a much smaller crowd than usual for the event.
Although fewer parade participants than last year, those who did show up seemed to be having a good time.
This year, some called for the event to be canceled because of the extreme cold, but parade organizers said we've successfully dealt with Rochester's cold weather in past events.
However, they say it would cost more time, effort and disruption to area business to reschedule.
The parade celebrated it's 40th year
