TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y -- Dozens of dancers showed off some moves Sunday to help the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Upstate New York.
The sixth annual Zumbathon took over the Brounshidle American Legion Post on Delaware Avenue. More than 100 dancers took part.
"We want people to know about the disease, learn about it and know that in Western New York there is a high percentage of people with MS. And so with awareness and education, we can move together as a community to find the support necessary to help those with it and find the much-needed funding that is necessary," said organizer Denise Herkey-Jarosch.
Organizers had a fundraising goal of $3,000.
