Jamestown, N.Y. -- It's been eight years since Corrie Anderson disappeared near Jamestown. At the time of her disappearance, the 36-year old mother of three was married to Kenneth Anderson of Sinclairville. The fifty-six-year-old is now accused of kidnapping his current wife and sexually assaulting her.

There are conflicting reports about whether or not Anderson is a suspect in Corrie's disappearance but her family is weighing in on the new charges against her ex-husband.

“I’m happy that he’s in jail. That he can't hurt anybody else. I feel awful for the woman that this has happened to. However on the other side, he's not in there because of Corrie. So that bothers me. I mean I glad he's in there but it's in like a way that he’s still getting away with it," said Autumn Boardman, Corrie Anderson's sister.

The thirty-six year old mother of three was was never seen again after visiting her boyfriend at a car dealership in nearby Jamestown. Shannon Hillerby is one of Corrie's daughters and says the news of Anderson's arrest brought a flood of emotion.

"I woke up this morning and I cried my eyes out. It's kind of the perspective that you live with throughout your day so I just tried to remain positive and hope for the best in all of this. He's in custody which is what we've been wishing for," Hillerby said.

Police in Richmond, Kentucky found Kenneth Anderson and his wife at a Days Inn last week. According to the police report, his wife told officers she was sexually assaulted. He also threatened to lock her in a basement and take her chidren away if she didn't follow his orders.

Anderson in now being charged with kidnapping, domestic violence and 1st degree rape. New York State Police are working with law enforcement in Kentucky-- hoping his arrest may spark new information in the case.
