BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Police said a body was discovered around 1 p.m. Friday near a tennis court on 4th Street in Buffalo.
The body was discovered by an employee working in the area, according to the Buffalo Police Department. 4th Street is near Waterfront Elementary School and LaSalle Park.
The body was only initially identified as a male by police, who said the investigation continues, and an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. Police could not immediately say if this case had been ruled a homicide.
