Two years after a tractor-trailer lost control and rammed into a popular Ithaca restaurant, killing a bartender, the restaurant is one step closer to reopening and is hiring.

Owners hope to reopen in the same spot on the edge of the Commons within a month.

They're looking to hire line cooks, servers, bartenders and dishwashers.

Anyone interested in applying to work at the rebuilt Simeon's will have the chance to do so starting Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
