SPENCERPORT, N.Y. -- A Spencerport Fire Department utility truck overturned Monday in a crash at the intersection of Union Street and West Avenue in the village.
While going north in the direction of a two-alarm house fire, department officials said the truck passed through an intersection with its lights and sirens on, and was then his by a black car going west. The utility vehicle then spun around, hitting another vehicle that was going south.
The four people involved in the crash were all taken to Rochester hospitals, and all are expected to be okay. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office and Ogden Police Department are investigating the accident.
The fire was off of West Ridge Road. When fire crews arrived after 5:15 p.m., they found a two story home, including the garage in flames.
One person who was home sustained minor injuries to his cheek and was treated at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
