BUFFALO, NY- More than 400-thousand people are expected to pour into the the streets of downtown Buffalo this weekend to sample some of the best food the region has to offer.

"The Taste is the second largest two day food festival in the United States and it's all put on by volunteers which is what I think is what makes this event even bigger and better. This is everybody that loves the City of Buffalo, loves all the restaurants, and we come together to put this on for the city," said Jacobs.

This year the hungry participants will get to taste food from 57 different restaurants and food trucks. Carole Manson from Niagara Falls says it's the first time she's been here in a few years.

"The different flavors and the different cuisine just all the different restaurants that are here. It's great every year that they add new restaurants and it's not the same thing every year," said Manson.

And it's not just the food. Sheryl Lewis says she just loves hanging out with her nieces and enjoying the crowd.

"You know what seeing the people. I saw one of my co-workers she called me over to get something to drink, just enjoying one another. We're going done to Canal side and enjoy that too," said Lewis.

The festival also has fans from all over the country.

"My name is Larry Raskin this is my son Elliot, we're from Sacramento, California. We just wan to say what a fantastic event this is. It far surpassed anything we expected, we actually stumbled onto it. It's wonderful we love the food , we love the people very friendly very family oriented. This is a wonderful, wonderful event and Buffalo should be proud of it," said Raskin.

And even though a lot of the attention this weekend is on the Rolling Stones concert, organizers say there's still plenty of time to take in the Taste.

"We welcome Mick Jagger and Keith Richards to come down here to the Taste and try some food this weekend that's for sure. But anyway, we run two full days so if you come down before the concert or you can come tomorrow we'll be here," said Jacobs.
