ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The summer weather is here and the pool's are ready to be opened!
Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren announced the start of the swimming season with the opening of the Genesee Valley Park Sports Complex Outdoor Pool and Durand Eastman Beach.
The Elmwood Avenue pool will open Sunday at 1 p.m. The Sports Complex offers an outdoor, Olympic-sized swimming pool that includes a water slide.
Durand Eastman Beach will open to swimmers next Sunday, June 21. It will offer supervised swimming daily from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. The beach is part of Durand Eastman Park, offering steep, wooded slopes, hiking trails and a great view.
