CHAUTAUQUA LAKE, N.Y. -- Crews are expected to resume their search Saturday morning for a fisherman missing on Chautauqua Lake.
No one has seen David Spink, 64, since Wednesday night. The Varysburg man was supposed to launch his boat at Prendergast Point and then pick up a friend a short distance down Chautauqua Lake, but never showed up.
His boat was found on-shore across the lake at Long Point State Park. His truck and trailer were still at the boat launch.
"We are in the process of searching the lake; unfortunately, because we don't have any witnesses or any location, it's a very vast area that we're talking about, so we've had vessels on the lake, ourselves and the state police today and the fire departments and also we had our helicopter up looking," said Chautauqua County Sheriff Joe Gerace.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office at (716) 753-2131.
