IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. -- A sign that some things are slowly returning to normal along the Lake Ontario shoreline.
The town of Irondequoit announced it is opening the public boat launch in Seabreeze this weekend.
High flood waters along the lake and Irondequoit Bay have kept the launch closed for this boating season.
The launch is located in the Irondequoit Bay State Marine Park at the end of Culver Road.
The launch opens Saturday, but Town Supervisor Dave Seeley reminds boaters there is still a no-wake advisory within 500 feet of the shore.
