BUFFALO, N.Y. — There is an updated visitation policy in effect for families of young patients at Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo.

Kaleida Health says inpatients are only allowed to have two designated support people as part of their care team, though a total of four people can be at the child's bedside at any time.

Newborns in the NICU can have visits from two parents or guardians and four additional support people.

Pediatric patients set to undergo surgery and any patients in the emergency room are both allowed to have two support people on-hand.

The health system announced the updated policies began Sunday at the hospital.

Masks are required at all times inside the facility, even if you have been vaccinated.
