The things you'll find when taking one of those back country roads in the Finger Lakes! Off of Cayuga Lake's Route 89, I took County Road 139 in Ovid to find Sheldrake Point and eventually Sheldrake Point Winery.
There's good wines a nice tasting room and a great view of the lake. Even boaters can dock pretty close to the winery to come visit. The slow ride around the point is beautiful! A hidden gem on the road less traveled! The winery is open year round, this time of year 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
