Bystanders said they used a rope to pull a man out of the Niagara River around 11 a.m. Monday.

Two fishermen who spoke with Spectrum News at Broderick Park said that it appeared the man jumped in, but after he was in the water, was fighting to get out of the river, and that another man ran down the shoreline, talking to him the entire way. The fisherman said after some distance, three people on shore helped pull him out.
