An assistant junior varsity coach for Monroe Woodbury football coach is accused of giving a teenage girl naked pictures of himself.

The Orange County District Attorney's Office says 23-year-old Justin Kaffenberger is charged with two counts of disseminating indecent material to minors and endangering the welfare of a child, a felony.

The office says state police arrested Kaffenberger Wednesday for sending naked pictures to a 15-year-old and asking her to engage in sexual acts.

He's also charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Superintendent Elsie Rodriguez says they are aware of the investigation, and are cooperating with authorities. She says Kaffenberger is not employed with the district beyond his coaching duties and "will not be on school property."

"District officials were made aware late last night of an ongoing police investigation related to alleged inappropriate behavior by a JV assistant coach," said Monroe-Woodbury Superintendent Elsie Rodriguez in a statement. "Aside from coaching responsibilities, this individual is not otherwise employed by the district. We understand the sensitivity and seriousness of this matter and are cooperating fully with authorities."
