AMHERST, N.Y. — A University of Buffalo student fell off the roof of an apartment during an out-of-control party and they suffered seriously injuries

Amherst and UB police say the incident happened around 4 p.m. Monday. They got several calls about a large party at an off-campus student housing complex called the Villas on Rensch.

There, they learned that one a 20-year-old student from outside New York City fell off the roof.

The student was taken to ECMC with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

UB says the Student Life Department has reached out to the student to provide support.

No arrests were made at Monday night's party, but UB students were warned they risk suspension or expulsion by breaking the law or violating UB’s code of student conduct.

The Villas are not owned or operated by the school. Police say they're working with the property manager to prevent further issues.
