The impending snowstorm is forcing the Erie County Department of Health to cancel its COVID testing and vaccine clinics for Monday. The department will also be closing its COVID-19 information line.

People with an appointment for a test at an ECDOH site will be contacted by the department so it can be rescheduled, or you can call the county on Tuesday to make another appointment at 716-858-2929.

People who made appointments at either of the Buffalo Homecare vaccine clinics on Delaware Avenue or Transit Road will also need to reschedule.

You can also visit the county website for more information.

The county released new COVID-19 numbers this weekend.

Cases continue to increase as local health officials work to increase testing across the area.

As of Saturday, the Erie County Department of Health confirmed about 1,800 new positive cases.

The health department also reported a total of more than 16,000 cases over the last week. This figure does not include the at-home positive results.
