This week starts winter break for many kids in Western New York, but amid the pandemic, what is there to do?

BlueCross BlueShield is rolling out a week of free virtual events with help from the Buffalo Zoo, Explore and More, and others.

All you have to do is go to BlueCross BlueShield’s website and they have a full list and links to access it all.

A spokesperson says there will be a full schedule of activities open to the entire community.

Families can pick up at home craft-kits at Canalside, virtual exercise/dance classes with Explore and More, virtual science experiments, story times and virtual field trips to the Buffalo zoo, the Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center and more.

BlueCross BlueShield is happy they can provide this for families.

“For us, we know it has really been challenging for families to find different activities to do in a safe environment and we are so thrilled to be able to provide those activities for any families,” said Gina Martin with BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York.

Each activity can be done on your own schedule. They also have a guide to safe outdoor activities in WNY.
