If you weren't able to get all your holiday shopping done on Black Friday, don't worry.

This weekend is small business Saturday and the shops on Elmwood and Hertel avenues are preparing for the time of year that normally gets them through the New Year slump.

Both areas have new programs in place to get people out- including an Elmwood Santa selfie station, and a Hertel pennant giveaway with pins from each store.

No matter where you go, small business owners ask that you simply support them this year after a shutdown and a potential one in the future.

"Don’t just go to amazon, don't just go to target. If you want these stores to be here; the bicycle store, the shoe store, any of the salons and especially restaurants, you've got to buy the gift certificates; you got to shop the websites now,” said Elmwood Village Association Board of Directors President Therese Deutschlander. “When we're on the other side of this, and there is going to be another side, you can still enjoy a day on Elmwood or a day on Hertel."

If you don't feel comfortable going in stores just yet, you can still support them online or buy gift certificates for future use. Owners will even bring your purchase to your car.
