The Bills' COVID issues continue.

Tackle Spencer Brown has been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, leaving his status for Sunday's game against the Colts up in the air.

According to the NFL's COVID protocols, a vaccinated player can come off the list and return if they have no symptoms and have two negative COVID tests 24 hours from each other.

An unvaccinated player must automatically miss at least 10 days before beginning testing without symptoms.

Best case scenario Brown could be back in time to play Sunday. Worst case, he could miss not only this game against Indianapolis, but also the upcoming Thanksgiving game in New Orleans.

It is unknown whether Brown is or is not vaccinated.

This is the sixth Bills player to land on the Reserve/COVID in just over two weeks. That list included Jake Fromm, Tanner Gentry, Mitchell Trubisky, Jake Kumerow, Star Lotulelei, and now Brown.

Kumerow was activated off the list Thursday, while Lotulelei remains on it after landing there Sunday morning.

"We're all aware of the situation that's going on," safety Micah Hyde said Thursday. "I don't think anybody is panicking and saying hey, everyone put their mask on, but at the same time I think we're all aware what's going on around the world, around the country, and even in our building."

If Brown cannot play, the Bills have an interesting decision as to how to fill his void.

A few weeks ago with Brown out with a back injury, Daryl Williams kicked back out to right tackle and Cody Ford returned to the line-up to play right guard. The results were poor for the Bills offensive line as a whole, including struggles by Williams and Ford.

Other options include fellow rookie tackle Tommy Doyle, who has been active for just four games, playing 9 snaps against Houston and 6 against the Jets last weekend.

Jamil Douglas has seen most of his NFL action at RG, so he could slide in over Ford while still moving Williams back to RT.

Ryan Bates has the flexibility to play every position on the OL, so inserting him at G or T could be an option.

Jon Feliciano is on IR, but eligible to return after Sunday's game.
