SOUTH CAROLINA -- At the end of a briefing on the latest flood damage, Governor Nikki Haley thanked her sign language interpreter for the deaf, Jason Hurdich.
Since last week, he's gone viral with his facial expressions and big hand motions.
"I want to personally thank you for all that you have done. Not only do you now have a major fan base, but you have made your South Carolinians very proud, and we are thankful to you for your communications."
Some on Twitter called him the “best sign language guy ever.”
Hurdich moved to Charleston 2 months ago from New York.
