Across the region tonight, skies will remain mostly cloudy.  Periods of rain will continue, some of which could be heavy at times.  If you are out and about traveling, be sure to take it a bit slower and watch out for some ponding of water on the roads.  Overnight lows will drop back into the 40s for most, with 30s in the Adirondacks.  It will remain quite breezy at times tonight as well.

On Thursday, skies will remain cloudy as rain showers continue.  The rain will even mix in or change over to snow across some of the higher terrain of the Adirondacks at times.  It will be another windy day with gusts of 20 to 30 miles per hour along with some localized stronger gusts.  Temperatures for most areas across the region will struggle to make it out of the 40s for highs.

Improving weather looks to be the weather story on Friday.  After a few lingering showers early in the day, expect drier but cloudy weather for the afternoon.  Highs will still be rather chilly, only within a few degrees of 50.

This weekend’s weather is looking good!  Expect sunshine to return along with warmer temperatures.  Highs on Saturday will rebound back to near 60, with the mercury reaching the mid-60s by Sunday.

More showers will return to the forecast as we start off the next work and school week.
