SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: Over at the Dome, the Susquehanna Valley Sabers were looking to repeat as Class C state champs. To earn their 26th straight win, they'd have to get by section X's Gouverneur. The Sabers got out to a speedy lead, and went into the half up 16-0.

This SV team had to deal with adversity through the state tournament, so that made them feel stronger heading into the state final. They also wanted to make a statement on defense after giving up 28 points to Southwestern in the semis. In the second half, the defense made a statement with a huge goal line stand in the 3rd quarter. That was the only momentum that the Wildcats had, and after that stop, it was all downhill... and uphill for SV. When the final buzzer sounded, the Sabers had defeated the Wildcats, 22-0.
