Nicholas Phillips is from Portland, Maine. He went to Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, where he was a member of the Pioneers track team as a sprinter and jumper. While Nicholas spent his childhood and college years in the New England area, his teams are the Baltimore Ravens, the New York Mets, and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Joining the Spectrum News Team in December, 2017, Nicholas is thrilled to return home to the northeast. Before beginning his career as a Spectrum News reporter, Nicholas worked for WTVY/WRGX in Dothan, Alabama. After graduating from Sacred Heart University with his B.S. in Media Studies, Nicholas broke into the television industry as a Freelance Associate Producer and Assignment Desk Editor at News 12 Connecticut. He also worked at NBC Sports. Now, Nicholas is a videojournalist working in the Elmira/Corning newsroom. From there, he tracks and covers stories in Chemung, Steuben, Tompkins, Schuyler and Yates counties, plus the Sayre, Pennsylvania area.

When he’s not in the newsroom, Nicholas enjoys watching sports and spending time out on the golf course.
