The Schuyler County Health Department says all of its active four COVID-19 cases are connected to the Lighthouse Baptist Church cluster in Chemung County, which is now impacting a local school district.

The health department says they are currently working closely with Odessa-Montour regarding a student who developed symptoms Sunday afternoon.

That student was identified as a close contact of a person who tested positive Friday.

As a precaution, the health department and school requested that everyone in the student’s classroom stay home while they wait for the child’s test results.

If the test is positive, everyone in that student’s classroom will be placed in quarantine.
