BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- An emotional homecoming is right around the corner.

In less than three weeks, Tessa Victoria will take the same stage she watched dozens of her favorite artists perform on. The artist who now lives in Nashville will perform at this year's Spiedie Fiest.

"We used to go every year when I was really little, and we used to serve ice cream, and I used to go to the concerts and dream about being up there, and I can't wait to be up there this year," said Tessa Victoria, Singer-Songwriter.

Tessa is opening for country music star Hunter Hayes. She left the Binghamton area four years ago to peruse her dreams, but her love for country music started at a young age.

"I think I gravitated toward that because of the songwriting. I felt like the songs really have a story to tell and so I always loved country music," said Victoria.

Just last month, Tessa had the opportunity to perform at the Country Music Awards in her new home of Nashville.

"We did a 45 minute set. We did like a half acoustic, half full band, and it was incredible. I mean the streets are just filled with people," said Victoria.

Following her recent success, the singer-songwriter now hopes to encourage younger performers to follow their dreams.

"I would say to any little girl or little boy that wants to do this, go for your dreams. Don't wait until next year. Do it now. If that means joining chorus, join chorus. If that means playing an instrument, pick up a guitar," said Victoria.

Tessa Victoria performs Saturday, August 3rd at 4:00 p.m.
