You've probably seen the coupons at the checkout line when you buy your groceries. But when you round up your bill for charity. where does that money actually go?

If you made that donation in a Broome County Wegmans, your extra change could be part of the more than $76,000 Wegmans just donated to United Way of Broome County. This money will be used to fund programs and projects for the betterment of the county.

While Wegmans employees often donate out of their own paychecks they still rely on customer contributions.

"The customers in this area open their hearts up every time we do something like this,” said Merchandising Area Manager Eldon Wise. “It's amazing the support we get from the customers in this area to give to the community."

Wegmans has donated over $1 million to United Way of Broome County.
