The two beagles that were injured when they were thrown from a moving vehicle on I-81, have now found new forever homes according to the Broome County Humane Society.

"Trooper" and "Adam," as they're now known as, were discovered on the side of the highway in Broome County back in December.

Trooper was in rough shape and has needed a lot of medical care. He eventually had to have his leg amputated.

Adam was fortunately okay.

The pair had been in the care of the Broome County Humane Society, and now, the shelter says they've found the best case scenario. Adam and Trooper were adopted together, so the beagles will get to stay together.
