BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- The brutal scene of a double homicide is put on full display as testimony continues in the double murder re-trial of Aaron Powell.

Powell was originally found guilty in the deaths of his estranged wife Christina Powell and her friend Mario Masciarelli.

But, that conviction was later reversed on appeal.

Jurors were shown video of the scene Thursday, which included the bodies of the victims.

This marked day two of testiomony.

A member of law enforcement spoke about what was discovered at the scene that day.

Text messages and contacts found on Christina Powell’s phone were also brought up.

The defense took issue with the way police handled the phone.

Despite having software to “clone” the phone, investigators went through it themselves.

The defense argued that that contacts and texts could have been added or deleted by police.

They also questioned why a bed spread with Masciarelli's blood, was not brought in as evidence.

Testimony continues Friday.
