A group of sixth graders are teaming up to send as much love as possible to a classmate who's in recovery.

Jariah Durgala was hit by a car in October and the chance of his survival didn't look good. Jariah was airlifted to a Syracuse hospital and paralyzed from the chest down after his spinal cord was severed.

Now, his classmates are taking action by sending him cards of encouargement this Christmas season.

"I miss everything about him," said classmate Kianna Roseburgh. "It's hard for him to go in and everything, so I want him to be strong and stuff and I want him to recover on Christmas. That's my only wish on Christmas."

Jariah is showing improvement and continues his rehabilitation. You can support him through a GoFund Me page set up by his family.
