Central New York has been awarded $88.2 million, and the Southern Tier has won $65.4 million, in the latest round of Regional Economic Development Awards from New York State.

Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul made the announcement Tuesday morning at the Albany Capital Center.

The CNY awards, will support 91 projects, according to the state economic development agency. The region earned the most money of any grant given Tuesday.

The Southern Tier's award, the second-largest given out Tuesday, will support 101 projects.
