Gas prices are always fluctuating — but right now, some drivers are seeing a drop.

On Thanksgiving, national prices averaged at $2.62 — down seven cents from the week before.

That trend continues in New York State, with prices down more than 30 cents in some areas.

According to AAA, it's the biggest drop in one week that drivers have seen this year.

People say the price cut helps with all the holiday travel.

"Anything under $3.00, I'm happy with so I’m not gonna argue. I'm taking the kids back to college so I go to and from and put a lot of mileage on the cars," said driver James Bobal.

To save gas this winter, AAA representatives suggest not taking a long time to warm up your car.
