If you're looking to escape the winter, you can get a taste of summer this weekend at the New York State Fairgrounds.

The Winter Fair will be at the Expo Center for the second year in a row. Last year, 25,000 people ended up making it out to the event.

If you ended up coming out last year, you'll notice lots of new things this year.

There are 16 rides with two new ferris wheels and an avenger ride.

An expanded music schedule with more live bands is also in the works. Country Swagg is wrapping things ups on Sunday.

Of course, there’s plenty new food. Per fair goers’ request, the baked potato is now available at the Winter Fair. The food area is bigger this year, fulfilling another fair-goer request.

All of it is a great way to combat the winter blues.

Topping all the fun off will be a newly added 20-minute firework show at 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday night.

Admission is $7 dollars for adults, and if you go online, you can still get them $5.

On Friday, the Winter Fair runs from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

On Saturday, it runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

On Sunday, it runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
