SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: The state-funded Downtown Revitalization Initiative is transforming neighborhoods in cities throughout New York.

Auburn Mayor Michael Quill discusses the $10 million in funding that the city was awarded, saying that viable and workable projects will help improve the downtown experience for residents and visitors.

The focus will be on transforming East Hill, bolstering the Seminary Avenue area, as well as improving the brewery, the public theater, and the arts district on the west side of Auburn.

This is the city’s third attempt at the DRI funding, and Quill says it will allow Auburn to continue its optimism, growth, and revitalization of the downtown area.

In Focus is a weekly public affairs segment airing each Sunday throughout news programming, exclusively on Spectrum News.
