It’s the end of Yellow Cab in Binghamton.

After 70 years of business in the Southern Tier, Yellow Cab employees were notified that the taxi service is closing for good.

"I was just driving and I got a phone call saying 'hey we're shutting down tomorrow' I was like no you've got to be kidding," said Gregory Gale, a decade long driver for the company.

Drivers employed by the taxi company said that Tuesday was scheduled to be their last day on the job.

The workers also said that Yellow Cab management told them Monday that they would be letting go of all 45 employees.

"I got a phone call from my friend that doesn't even work here asking me what I'm going to do now. And I'm like what are you talking about? He says 'uh Yellow is closing.' So I called up my company and sure enough I didn't have a job anymore," said Cab Driver, James Park.

Yellow Cab announced the closure of several of its locations across the country in recent months.
