TOLEDO — Residents can prepare for some construction disruption this year as Toledo prepares to take on its 2025 roads program.

The 2025 Residential Roads Program is focused on improving roadways to make them safer and smoother for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.

“Our 2025 Roads Program represents our commitment to improving Toledo’s infrastructure for today and the future,” said Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz. “By combining smoother roads with vital safety upgrades, we’re ensuring a better experience for all street users. It wasn't that long ago that we were fixing 7 roads per year, but thanks to the quarter percent for roads, we're able to yet again fix 15 times that amount of residential streets.”

Through the program, there are 42.64 planned lane miles of reconstruction and resurfacing for residential roadways. This portion of the program has a $25 million budget. The city will also tackle 16.41 lane miles of major roadway improvements with a $21.5 million budget. Finally, 30.03 lane miles of roadways will receive patch and seal repairs.

The city is aiming to communicate with residents throughout the process and prepare them for the construction their neighborhood may face.
