Time Warner Cable News and NY1 provide customers of our parent company, Time Warner Cable, with enhanced access to TWCNews.com and NY1.com. Want more information? Have a problem getting complete access? Here are the answers:

General Information

What do TWC video customers get on TWCNews.com and NY1.com?

The websites for Time Warner Cable's 24-hour news channels – in New York City, across Upstate New York, and in North Carolina and Texas – offer enhanced access to Time Warner Cable customers who subscribe to TWC video (TV) service.

This includes unlimited access to all of our video clips along with expanded web-only videos, as well as our vast video clip archive.

In addition, Time Warner Cable customers who get TWC News on their cable box can access our 24/7 live video stream, allowing you to watch Time Warner Cable News on on any modern web browser, wherever you are.

For unlimited access our video content, Time Warner Cable customers must sign in using their Time Warner Cable username and password – the same ID used to access TWC's online bill pay service, stream TV shows from WatchESPN and HBO GO, access the TWC TV mobile apps, and use Remote DVR manager, Phone Manager and other TWC services.

This ID is free of charge to all TWC TV subscribers, and there is no additional charge for the enhanced website content. However, TWC subscribers with only high-speed data or phone service will have to upgrade their subscription to be able to access our video content.

As a courtesy, those without a TWC ID can access ten free video views per month. A message displaying the number of free views remaining appears each time you go to view a clip. This courtesy service does not include access to our live video stream.

If you've already set up your TWC ID, you're all ready to access the enhanced TWCNews.com. If not, you can register for your TWC ID by following the instructions below.

Troubleshooting

When I go to sign in, I get a message saying "Your Time Warner Cable subscription does not currently include access to this programming."

If you're trying to view our video clips, first make sure that you subscribe to TWC's video (TV) services. If you're a TWC customer who has only high-speed data or phone service, you must upgrade to a video subscription to be able to fully access the upgraded sites.

If you get this message while trying to sign in to our 24/7 live stream, it's likely because you don't have Time Warner Cable News in the channel line-up on your cable box.

I subscribe to Time Warner Cable video service and/or I get Time Warner Cable News on my cable box, but I'm still having trouble signing in.

If you're a video customer and/or you get Time Warner Cable News on your cable box but you're still having trouble logging in, get assistance by visiting the TWC Help Page, where you can choose between phone support and Live Chat.

If you'd like to use Live Chat, select "My Account" under "Acount and Billing" and a specialist will assist you.

I'm experiencing additional issues with the site.

Please send an e-mail describing your problem to support@twcnews.com.
