A portion of Western New York is cleaning up after strong storms passed through on Tuesday.
The damage was apparent at the cemetery in Avon, in Livingston County. Several trees came crashing down during wind gusts that were estimated to be around 60 to 70 mph Tuesday night. The roots of those trees dislodged several headstones.
Large-diameter hail was also reported to have fallen during the storms.
In Wyoming County, there were no classes for middle and high school students in Warsaw on Wednesday because of storm damage.
Reports of damage stretched from Wyoming County east to northern Ontario County.
