This has always had its issues in Lewis County. Former Sheriff Mike Tabolt hated it. He hated the fact that so many drugs were coming in to Lewis County because of the people who come to this show.

Some lawmakers didn't prioritize that as much as they did the money this event brought to the community.

Current Sheriff Mike Carpinelli, I'm sure will have people on the lookout for anything illegal, but I have to imagine he's given the okay for this event to come back.

The folks with moe. were never thrilled with the amount of scrutiny the festival took because of the numerous drug related arrests.

It'll be interesting to see how the new sheriff handles this and how the band is able to accept what may or may not come as a result.

“My best moe.down memory will always be opening moe.down 7, backing up my brother Michael on the main stage.”- Jim Loughlin “To me, moe.down has always been a mix the best ‘laid back, friends and family, backyard throw downs.’

Musical and non-musician loved ones come from all over and as a result, we all have this special atmosphere where everything is better. Friends revel, everyone gets together with almost a singular communal purpose and the band reflects that onstage throughout the weekend. I look forward to having that back again this year and hopefully many more to come!

My favorite memories are of the amazing musicians that we get to share the stages with every year. Ha Ha The Moose, too.” - Chuck Garvey

“moe.down, for me, is a family event in many ways. My children have grown up there, and have made friends there. We look forward to it the same way one would look forward to a family reunion.”- RobDerhak

Although the stages may have been dark and the ski lifts still over the past two summers, the moe.down discussions never stopped between moe. and Chuck Chao of Creative Concerts. The seventeen-year partnership knew it had something unique to offer when they threw their first moe.down in 2000, and the goal has always been to make each year more memorable than the last, while still retaining its intimate vibe .

The eclectic lineup of past moe.down performers includes: The Black Keys, Gary Clark, Jr., Cracker, TV On The Radio, Amos Lee, Ani DiFranco, Galactic, The Avett Brothers, Umphrey’s McGee, Grace Potter, Levon Helm w/Bob Weir, Cake, Ween, Perry Farrell's Satellite Party, The Roots and many more.

2017 will see moe.down returning to its roots. Originally conceived as a weekend reunion the band could host for their friends, family and musical cohorts, the festival will once again focus on moe. and the extended famoe.ly . moe.down 16 will keep all of your favorite moe.down pastimes, but try to add some mo' moe. and a little less stress.

New festival options this year will include layaway payment plans, and an enhanced VIP experience including downloads of every moe. set, golf cart escort upon arrival and a commemorative laminate. For more information, visit: www.moe.org/festival
