I got to Manhattan Saturday afternoon. After what I'm about to talk about.

We were in town for the Adele concert Sunday at Madison Square Garden. Yes, my first trip inside the main stadium of Madison Square Garden wasn't for the Knicks, Rangers or college hoops. It was Adele.

But, I really enjoyed myself. I must say she can sing like no other. We all hear the amazing voice on the radio or iPod, but she's the real deal live.

I also enjoy how much she just talks and chats in between songs. I like that. I want to learn something about somebody and get more that I could from a radio or CD or iPod. She's a bit naughty and a whole lot funny. I enjoyed it much.

This made the blog though, because her shows last week (she did six at MSG last week) did make some headlines here locally due to a tragic accident in Manhattan Friday.

The New York Post reported a Syracuse man, 54-year-old John Carr was riding his bicycle in Midtown (near the Garden) when he was hit by a dump truck. It was a hit and run. He had to have his leg amputated.

Carr was doing stagework for the Adele shows.

I did not know about any of this until Monday on my way home.

His family is looking for answers and police are hoping cameras can help.

Here's hoping they get some peace and closure from this horrific accident.
